VISIO launched its Africa (ex-South Africa) equity strategy in June 2009. The Gondo VISIO Metsi Africa Fund is a long-only strategy that aims to provide fund management for global investors seeking exposure to equity markets in Africa. The fund targets positive returns on capital invested on worldwide exchanges that provide exposure to businesses that generate a significant portion of their earnings from Africa. The Africa team follows an investment approach premised upon fundamental research and analysis applied across equity investment strategies depending on the mandate. Portfolio churn is low, and the average holding period for investments exceeds 12 months.

VISIO Capped All Share Composite Fund
The VISIO Capped All Share Composite Fund is an actively managed South African equity strategy that seeks to identify compelling opportunities across the local market through rigorous fundamental research. The investment approach is predominantly bottom-up and sector specific, with a focus on companies with strong management teams, sound corporate governance, robust balance sheets and the ability to generate sustainable cash flows. The portfolio invests across both South African-focused businesses and locally listed companies with a global presence.
