Long / Short Hedge Funds
VISIO’s flagship South African long/short hedge fund strategy dates back to February 2001. The funds have traditionally maintained a net-long bias, with limited use of derivatives, and aim to deliver positive returns across different market conditions. Investment decisions are grounded in detailed company and sector research, with a focus on building long-term value. Portfolio turnover is deliberately low, and core investments are typically held for more than 12 months.
SA Domiciled Funds
VISIO’s hedge funds are managed according to the same investment philosophy and disciplined process, with a consistent approach applied across each strategy. The funds invest in listed equities in South Africa and offshore, using both long and short positions to find opportunities and manage risk.
The VISIO FR Retail RI Hedge Fund and qualified investor hedge funds may have net long exposure of up to 100% of invested capital. VISIO II, the VISIO FR Retail RI Hedge Fund and the VISIO FR Occasio QI Hedge Fund are rand-denominated onshore funds.
